Staffordshire County Council’s new ‘Succeed and Grow Scheme’ provides support for rural microbusinesses

Staffordshire County Council have launched the ‘Succeed and Grow Scheme,’ aimed at supporting rural microbusinesses in Staffordshire Moorlands and East Staffordshire with guidance from professional services consultants. The sectors covered by these professional services include accountancy, human resources, business planning, marketing, and legal services.

With guidance from marketing consultants, microbusinesses can receive help in areas such as website development and design, logo and brand identification, social media support, and creation of visual content through graphic design.

Additionally, rural microbusinesses in need of financial and legal guidance can receive support in areas including taxation, HR legislation, employment law, investment, budgeting, and more.

Support from consultants will be provided through multiple channels, including webinars, in-person events, peer-to-peer interactions, and focus groups.

To be eligible for this scheme, the following criteria must be met:

  • A rural microbusiness with less than 10 employees
  • Turnover of £632,000 or less
  • Balance sheet total of £316,000 or less
  • Business has been trading for 5 years or over
  • Postcode falls within the pilot rural areas (SMDC/ESBC)

Staffordshire County Council will confirm rural business eligibility upon receipt of the Expression of Interest form.
